New Year a new leaf

Hello everyone, so Christmas is practically over now and we are all getting ready to welcome the New Year. Is it just me or has 2012 gone so quickly I cant believe it!! So thinking about the New year got me wondering about a New years resolution or as some people may say turning over a new leaf.

Now I'm sure I'm not the only person who makes ridiculous targets such as 'Go to the gym more often' or 'Give up 3 unhealthy foods' but this year i have decided to try and think of a more realistic target that wont be so hard I give up by the middle of February. But what kind of things makes a good New years resolution? For me a good resolution would be something realistic and achievable maybe something like 'Wear a watch' so i become more aware of the time or maybe 'Put away anything you get out after you have finished with it' I know this is quite a basic rule but its something i just cant do.

I don't think I have ever made a New years resolution that I have actually ever completed!! So this year I'm going to try extra hard (I tell myself this every year) but still i am left wondering oh i wonder how long this one will last. I'm not sure about you guys but i haven't actually thought of a New years resolution yet!!! Better get thinking fast.

Last minute Christmas gifts

Oh my goodness its Christmas eve eve !!!!!!! i am so unbelievably exited for Christmas, how about you guys ? Today I have decided to do a little post on last minute Christmas gifts because lets face it we have all been in the situation where we have gone out in a panic a couple of days before Christmas (or even a birthday for that matter) with no idea what to get!! So here are some fun little ideas that may help :) None of the pictures i use are mine but i hope they help.

 

1. Christmas Cupcakes!!!!!!! This is something that I made for all of my friends they went down really well. Making some Christmas cupcakes is so simple and can be really fun pick whatever flavour cake to make and decorate it in your own festive way.

2. A picture or home made scrapbook that you and that person have memories that you share. This is a really lovely idea and will touch the heart of who ever will receive it.

3. Sometimes less is more and get somebody something that really means something to them. However if you have already brought the gift you could always personalise that gift wrap. Although this idea may be very time consuming.

Art of the Christmas decorations

So as its getting closer to Christmas i thought i would make a festive post about Christmas decorations. Hopefully this post will give you some fun ideas to decorate your house and help get you in to the festive mood !!

Lets start with the lights !! Fairy lights are a really simple and effective way to make your house that little bit more festive with hardly any effort (unless the lights are tangled) a really lovely way to use fairy lights is on your stairs wrap them round a few times, it creates a really lovely effect.

We put some really lovely lights in our kitchen which gives a really good effect. Hang the lights around the edge of the kitchen or any other room you want them in.

Home made decorations look fab around the house, with little effort they look really good and you can make what ever you want. This year we made some hearts painted them red and drew patterns on them.

The last thing i want to show you is some ideas for the Christmas tree, we prefer to buy a real Christmas tree each year but using a fake one looks just as good. Our colour scheme is silver and white with a few other colours thrown in here and there. What are your colour schemes?

Nude Nails

So i was hoping to make Sunday my main posting day but as i had a really busy day going to London (The Christmas lights were magical) i completely forgot !! Not a good start really is it. But here is a nice little review on some nail varnish that i have recently brought.

So I have been looking for a nude nail varnish for a very long while now so whilst i was in Boots i decided to look for one, their was a number of choices but none were really right for me. I found a shelf with some No.7 on, i found a nail varnish there was only one shade of nude so i got that one and i love it !!!!!!! It is very easy to apply and gives a great finish its a really good nude colour and it matches my skin colour quite well so i am able to wear it to school.

 

 

I really love this nail varnish to bits !!! One of the best parts is that it doesn't chip, i painted my nails and the next day i was out doing some gardening when i came inside i was really worried that it was going to be all chipped but it wasn't it was still perfect. Highly recommended.

Hello blogging world !!!

Hiyya
So this is my first real blog and i feel a little stupid because it don't really know what to post about this early on. I don't have any followers at the moment so i don't know if anybody is going to read this hehe. I started this blog because i want somewhere to show my photography, my love for classical ballet and so i can just post about random things to hopefully make your day.

You could expect to see things like:
- My photography
- Nail art
- Makeup
- Beauty and makeup tips
- Ballet pictures
- Posts about ballet
- Maybe some of my favourite outfits maybe monthly or something
- Posts about my day and my very average life

I dont think i will post about all of these things as i dont think i will fit it in to my spare time, but i will post about most of them and i will try to make things different so it isnt the same all the time.

Well i am going to say goodbye to you and stop writing this very pointless first post.
