How to make Cheese Straws

Hey guys, so today's post is a little different but I hope it will be very useful. The other day I made some cheese straws and took some photos as I was doing them so I could show you guys !! If you want to see the method and ingredients without the pictures scroll right down to the bottom.

Step one: First you will need to get some puff pastry, let it warm up so it doesn't break when you unroll it. When it is warm roll it out and you are ready for the next step!

Step two: Break and beat an egg, you then paint some of the egg on to the pastry this will help the cheese to stick to the pastry.

Step three: Grate some cheese of your choice and sprinkle some cheese on to half of the pastry, it doesn't matter how much cheese you put on it depends on how you like them. Then fold the pastry in half by lifting the pastry half with no cheese and putting it on to the other half.

Step four: Cut the pastry in to about twelve small slices, you could make them bigger or smaller depending on you big you want them. Then picking up the slices gently twist them round decide how thin you want them the more twists the thinner it will be.

Step five: Next place the cheese straws on to a tray with grease proof paper and use some of the remaining egg to paint the top of the cheese straws, this is so you can sprinkle a little more cheese on top and it will stick.

Step six: Now put them in to the oven until they go nice and crispy and look a little like this, leave them to cool and then eat !!!!!

Ingredients:
1. Puff pastry
2. An egg
3. Cheese

Method:
1. First you will need to get some puff pastry, let it warm up so it doesn't break when you unroll it. When it is warm roll it out and you are ready for the next step!

Fancy paper and a fun shape

Sorry i haven't posted in a while but i am really running out of ideas !!!!!!!! Help me if you have any ideas then comment on this post or you can contact me via twitter or tumblr :) Anyway .....

For Christmas I got given some really really lovely tissue paper and a cardboard Giraffe template to cover with the paper I loved the look of it so much that I looked for some others things to decorate too.

I think the Giraffe looks so cool covered in this tissue paper and it looks so unique and personal especially as Giraffes are my favorite animal !!

For those of you who have read my blog before may remember my little post on the 'Memory jar' if you haven't be sure to check it out. I decided that it needed that little something to make it even more special. The tissue paper went on like a dream and it gives this really smooth glossy feel to the jar which i didn't expect to happen.

I also got a love heart shape for Christmas to cover with the paper which looked really nice it came with a piece of string attached to it so it makes a great little door hanger.

Thank you for reading my little post it really does mean allot !!!! Feel free to comment on any of my posts telling me what you think, any ideas you have or even if you have done anything like it before. I have also added a little gadget on the right side of my blog where you can follow me with Google friend connect or bloglovin you can do it anonymously or not  if you follow me openly and you have a blog get in touch and i will check it out.

Book page decorations

Hello, so I'm going to do Sundays post today because i am away all weekend. So today's post is all about ideas on decorations for your bedroom or another room made from book pages (Unwanted books) here's what I did.

I picked the shape of a butterfly to cut out of my book page but you can pick anything you want. I also made two other different size butterflies each slightly smaller than the other. To make mine a little more tough i put them on to some card and cut them out again.

I then also cut a little bird and a ballerina out of the middle from two of the book pages and put them in a fame. My friend also made a beautiful rose from lovely quotes but unfortunately i didn't get a photo.

Hope you enjoyed the post :)

The memory jar

Hey guys sorry about the wait i have had to use Google chrome for the time being to use my blog which i'm a little confused about :/ Anyway here is the the I have wanted to do enjoy :)

I came across this idea from friends and whilst browsing the interweb for way to become a little more positive and get the best out of life as I feel that i really feel i need to stop focusing on the negative things and more on the positive things. I'm not a very very negative person but i'm worried if i don't try and stop now i will cross the line and find it very hard to get back. I hope that this maybe helps any of you who feel the same way :)

'The Memory Jar'

So the idea is that every time something good happens or a nice thought or memory you write it on a little piece of paper fold it in and pop it in the jar. Now some people may want to do this everyday but at the moment i am just doing it every time i have a good memory.

At the end of the year empty out the jar and sit down to read the good memory and thoughts you have had, its up to you what things you put in you could even add things such as a little ring or something silly to represent a memory that will hopefully make you smile.

You don't have to empty the jar at the end of the year you could always take out a few to read if you are feeling like you need to be cheered up :)

Let me know if you have any ideas for being more positive or if you have made any memory jars of your own down in the comments below i would love to hear all about them.
